Symbols seem to contain information that we don't have more immediate access to. In the Icons Projects the symbols are mysteriously missing.

The patterns I've always used seem to have come full cycle and all that is left is the gold around them. The symbol itself is empty, implying that something precious had been here, and probably still is if we're aware of it.

Anita & Lucien's Bench is the first of the Icon Projects to be realized and the first commission I've ever done. It is also my first outdoor work.
